Tricuspid Atresia (TA)

In this situation, the tricuspid valve never formed and all of the blood coming back to the heart from the body must cross into the left heart to get to either the body or the lungs. Although these babies will always have a low oxygen saturation, they may appear well in the first few days after birth.
